Indoor archers Struggling to shoot Their first 300...

How to Shoot Your First 300 Round& Stop Leaving Points on the range

The exact execution, pressure management, and equipment setup from the archer who holds the highest qualification X-count in Vegas history (900/89X).

The Track Record is Undeniable...

Here's what I've learned shooting indoor roundsat the highest level...

The difference between a 297 and a 300 isn't talent. It's not your bow. It's usually not even your form.

It's the small things that compound under pressure.

A setup detail that's 95% right instead of 100%. An execution habit that works fine in practice but breaks down when you're staring at arrow 28 and the X is getting smaller. A mental approach that served you at 280 but falls apart at 295+.

I shot my first 300 when I was 11. First 30X at 13. But I still drop arrows when things aren't set up right or when I let the pressure change my process.

The difference now is I know exactly why it happens and how to fix it.

What separates a 295 shooter from a 300 shooter:

At the 290+ level, everyone's form is solid. Everyone's equipment is good enough. What separates the scores is:

  • How you execute under pressure in the final ends

  • Small equipment setup details that prevent random 9s

  • A mental process that stays consistent from arrow 1 to arrow 30

Traditional coaching doesn't address the real problem.

Most instruction focuses on form and equipment. That matters. But it doesn't explain why you shoot a perfect first end and then drop two arrows in end 9.

This course is different. I'm shooting a full 300 round on camera and breaking down exactly what I'm doing, thinking, and adjusting in real time. Not theory. The actual process I use when I'm competing at Vegas, Lancaster, and Indoor World Series.

If you're already shooting in the high 280s to low 290s, you have the physical ability to shoot 300. This course exposes what's actually holding you back.

WHAT'S WAITING FOR YOU INSIDE...

BODIE TURNER'S INDOOR ARCHERY SECRETS

High Pressure Shooting Breakdown

I cover exactly what changes when the pressure builds in later ends. Why your pin float feels different, how to use intentional tempo changes (fast vs. stale shots), and why I set my sight impacts high or low in the 10-ring to account for my most probable miss.

Real-Time 300 Round Analysis

Watch me shoot a full 10-end, 30-arrow round with commentary on every decision. You'll see how I handle bobs in arrow 1, when I give my sight a click, and what I'm thinking during the final two ends when everyone tightens up.

Equipment Setup That Prevents Dropped Points

Small setup details that don't matter at 280 become the difference at 295. I cover my stabilizer adjustments for pin float, why I shoot a blade rest, my 4-fletch helical setup for vane contact vs. correction ability, peep sight preferences, and cam timing (top vs. bottom).

Execution and Release Process

Why I prefer a thumb button release, how I shoot a hinge with minimal input, single digit manipulation, where exactly on the thumb I execute, what my other fingers are doing, and the specific anchor points and face pressure that keep my process consistent.

End-by-End Tactical Decisions

When to shoot fast tempo vs. stale tempo. Why I fix targets mid-round. Clear pin/fuzzy target vs. fuzzy pin/clear target. Time between arrows at a big tournament. When to let down. The dot scoring system I use to track my round. Shooting top target vs. bottom target positions.

Bow Setup Philosophy

Bows that shoot well vs. bows that hold well. Why I shoot intentionally short draw length to change the direction of shakes during high stress shooting. Single knot D-loop. Blade rest angle. Preventing high and low misses with arrow level and positioning. Bow arm and hand movement at the shot break.

SHOTIQ WORKS, LET THE RESULTS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES...

I just wanted to say thank you. I used your process and executed two perfect shots on two elk in 7 days. One in California at Tejon Ranch and one in Utah at the Deseret. The Deseret one was especially pressure filled because it was being filmed for Under Armour and it was a massive herd bull.

I went through your shot process in my mind before each shot.

It really made a huge difference in keeping my mind right just understanding the difference between open loop systems and closed loop systems.

Your course really kept me in the moment and aware in a very high pressure situation twice.

Thanks for everything!

- Joe Rogan

Just wanted to share this with you. Controlled shot! 45 yards! Didn't hesitate one bit. Stuck to the calf noises. He was all by him self. I called a short seq.

Heard him popping sticks, I moved in to get closer to that hang up spot. He came blazing in. I ranged the tree in my opening 40 yards....

He stepped behind the tree. I stood up from behind the fern, pulled back aimed between 40 and 50..

Let the pin dance and said HERE I GO! Took me a bit to find him in the swamp. But i did. This is my third bull and forth elk and I will tell you. I never felt so confident. I may have passed that shot last year.

Thanks Joel!

-Jake Starlings

I am writing to say thank you, your course has helped me dramatically.

I no longer shoot bad arrows and if one gets through I am able to tell straight away what was wrong with my own shot. I have a shot cycle I follow each and every time.

With lots of exercise for my bow arm as I was sometimes struggling to hold the bow up and lots of practice I have become a much better archer. I have won one gold medal and two third place trophies.

I always recommend your course, but sadly many don’t think there is anything wrong with there shooting, and they don’t understand the effects of target panic, thanks to you and your course I do.

Every blessing in Christ

- Mr Stephen Channon, Veteran

I recently went through a tough spell dealing with target panic and had tried about every technique and device I could find to get me through it.

While some things helped temporarily, I kept struggling to retain my confidence with pressure shots at animals.

It wasn’t until I met Joel and listened to his advise that I understood what the true problem was with my shooting and started having confidence again in pressured situations while hunting.

-Nate Simmons (The Western Hunter)

Your system has allowed me to crush my target panic and regain absolute control of my shot focus. I certainly could not have made it happen without your generosity and your time to personally answer my questions and to analyze my problems.

Your explanation of what’s going on in my head has really opened up a whole new world of shot control to me.

It’s hard to believe that I was a complete target panicked basket case just a few months ago just trying to make it through our winter 3D league in one piece.

-Eric Yost

Joel, thanks so much for transforming my shooting! I used to shoot my longbow with hope, but every session ended in frustration and confusion. After taking a one-day course with you in Oregon, I now completely understand my shooting process and my shooting has improved significantly. Most importantly I enjoy shooting my longbow again!

As a full time guide in Alaska and owner of Alaska DIY, I recommend your Shot IQ course to all of my clients and customers, the information you teach is that good.

- Abe Henderson

Being completely transparent here, there was a time in which I honestly hated shooting my bow. I couldn’t shoot an arrow without horrible anticipation. Not a single one. I used to try to “time” my aiming with a trigger punch and I was absolutely consumed by target panic. I hated shooting in front of people at the range and especially in front of a camera… but where my panic really fostered itself was at the top of the mountain. Months of preparation, days of hiking in, and finally getting into the perfect position on the animal I came to kill, would end with me mentally breaking down from my own inability to make a controlled shot.⁣⁣ It was devastating and a hard pill to swallow.

⁣⁣

I actually believe the majority of archers (and even most shooters of any weapon) live with this inability to make a controlled shot. But luckily there is help. Serious instruction that can teach you how to change your mental state for the better, all in a single class. Before you go buy a new bow, or new release, or new anything, spend the money on one of Joel’s classes and get your mind right. Fall in love with shooting again (but this time for real), and discover your process of control. Please contact Joel Turner of Shot IQ to book a class or to take his online class “Controlled Process”. It will change your life... as it did mine

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

If you have any other questions feel free to reach out to us at [email protected]

  • Q: Does this cover controlled process shooting?

No. This course focuses on equipment setup, execution, and pressure management specific to indoor archery. It's not a mental shot process course. It's about what I actually do and think during a 300 round at the highest level.

  • Q: Will this help me shoot a higher score?

If you're shooting in the high 280s to low 290s and dropping 1-3 arrows into the 9 ring, yes. I cover the specific equipment details, execution habits, and pressure management that separate a 295 from a 300. If you're still working on fundamentals below 280, this might be too advanced.

  • Q: Will this course step-by-step help me setup a brand new bow for indoor?

It covers my indoor setup preferences and the reasoning behind them, but it's not a start-to-finish bow setup tutorial. You'll learn why I make the choices I make with stabilizers, rest, peep, cam timing, and more. If you already have a baseline bow setup and want to fine-tune it for indoor competition, this will help.

  • Q: What's the refund policy?

30-day money-back guarantee. Notice the difference in your scores within 30 days or it's on us.

  • Q: When will I get access?

Instantly. Access will be sent to your email address as soon as you enroll.
